Halloween Night at the Church

The boys were CUTE AS BUGS last night at our Halloween alternative party.

Ella was a lovely little fairy butterfly, just as cute as a bug herself!

A little bribery to get the boys to sit together for a portrait ... um, I mean "Toddler Rewards!"

The kids got to have a little scavenger hunt to find goodies around the church too, which was so FUN. Peek-a-BOO anyone?

This is Nathan's friend, Roric! He was very excited to see his little buddy dressed up as Buzz Lightyear. They love playing together and a couple of weeks ago they had a playdate at the mall. Hopefully they will have another playdate again soon. They also see each other every Monday night.

Nater couldn't stop laughing for joy as they ran around chasing each other all dressed up in their costumes. ONCE they sat down for a few brief seconds to collect their thoughts.

Little Wandering Hands

Nate had little wandering hands last weekend at a friend's Halloween party. Any time he starts letting his hands wander I tell him he has "Little Wandering Hands!" and he thinks it's funny. This time I'm not so sure how funny it was to the other party guests.

The boys didn't participate well in the group photo; Nater wouldn't even sit down long enough with the other kids. Gavin looks like he's being a good sport.

Caught!

Why I shouldn't leave brownies sitting out when a toddler is on the loose...

Welcome Fall!

The very BEST time of the year!

"Oh Woe is Me" Act I

Nate didn't care for the conservatory and riding in the stroller when we first got to the zoo. So, I let him walk beside the stroller as we walked around looking at the animals. Still, he was not thrilled for some reason - call it the remarkable TWO's! I think it was all the talk about stay by Mommy... or watch for strollers ... or watch for people; say excuse me ... and many more STAY by Mommy's. Here he is performing a sit-down strike to vent his anguish -

You can see one guy appears to be clapping for his performance of Oh, Woe is Me! What was a Mom to do other than to take a couple of pictures and wait for the finale. Meanwhile, some people walked by with their toddler on a LEASH...
Is it the answer? Who am I to judge.

John as a Statue

While visiting the zoo yesterday, we saw an incredibly lifelike statue of John! The creator did an amazing job at capturing John's profile and physique! In fact, Nate saw John's statue, pointed and said, "Daddy!!!!!"

Not Stopping for a Minute!
